Doganic exists because of a dog named Dexter. What began in a home kitchen with simple, honest treats became something bigger — a quiet mission to support the long-term health of every dog we love.
Where it began
Dogs have always been the reason.
It started simply. Around 2017, with a kitchen, two dogs named Dexter and Mila, and a question that wouldn’t go away: why is it so hard to find treats made with ingredients you can actually read?
There was no business plan. No brand strategy. Just the right thing to do for the dogs in front of us. Simple recipes, honest ingredients, made with care.
That’s where Doganic began.

On Christmas morning in 2019, Dexter had a seizure. After months of tests, he was diagnosed with kidney disease.
The diagnosis didn’t define him. It just meant the treats we were already making needed to change — lower in protein, potassium, and sodium, but still nourishing, still honest, still made with the same care. Still something he could enjoy.
In May 2020, Doganic relaunched. Same kitchen. Same love. Updated recipes shaped around what Dexter actually needed.
He loved them. Those quiet moments — Dexter taking a treat gently, tail moving — are the reason Doganic exists. Dexter passed. But the knowledge stayed. And so did the commitment to doing better.

Losing Dexter in 2023 didn't end the question — it deepened it. A year later, we completed certified pet nutrition training. Not to launch something. Just to properly understand what dogs actually need.
That knowledge shapes every ingredient decision we make. Not what's cheapest. Not what's most shelf-stable. What actually supports long-term dog gut health and digestion — gently, consistently, over time.
The evolution
From treats to something that goes deeper.
Doganic started with treats. Simple, honest, baked with care. That hasn’t changed.
But what we learned from Dexter — and from studying pet nutrition properly — pointed us toward something more fundamental. Gut health. The quiet foundation that affects everything else: digestion, coat, energy, immunity, how a dog feels every single day.
In March 2026, the Doganic Gut Support Meal Topper launched. Not a supplement. Not a fix. Six whole ingredients added to the bowl, daily. Pumpkin for gut motility. Oats for the microbiome. Flaxseed for digestion. Simple, honest, designed to last.

Dexter started this. Mila has been here through all of it. And Marvin — our newest dog — is the reminder that every day is a chance to choose better for the animal in front of you.
