Dexter’s Legacy
Doganic began with one very special dog—Dexter.

He was more than a pet. He was our companion, our joy, and our inspiration. On Christmas morning in 2020, Dexter had a seizure that changed everything. After months of tests, he was diagnosed with kidney disease, a condition that left us feeling helpless.

Like many dog parents, we wanted to give Dexter everything to help him feel better. But the treats and food available for dogs with kidney issues were limited, bland, and full of synthetic ingredients. Nothing felt right. Nothing felt made with love.

So we took matters into our own hands—literally. We started baking from scratch in our home kitchen, researching ingredients that would be low in protein, potassium, and sodium, yet still nutritious, organic, and comforting.
Dexter finally had treats he could safely enjoy—and he loved them.

Those quiet moments—Dexter gently taking a homemade bite, tail wagging—were filled with so much meaning. They reminded us that dogs, especially those with health issues, deserve to feel special and loved every single day.

That belief is now baked into everything we do. Dexter passed, but his spirit is with us in every batch. His legacy lives on in Doganic—in the treats, the mission, and the community of dog lovers who believe in feeding with care.

Why We Chose Doganic
Our journey with Dexter—and our other dog, Mila—taught us that understanding what goes into our pets’ food is just as important as knowing what goes into ours.

Most commercial dog foods are highly processed and filled with ingredients you can’t pronounce. We wanted better for Dexter and Mila—and we knew other pet lovers did too.
That’s why every Doganic recipe follows three rules:

We use 100% compostable bags that break down naturally, leaving no harmful waste behind. Our packaging is printed with plant-based inks, because even the smallest details count. Every treat is made in small, mindful batches to reduce waste and energy, and we avoid overproduction in favor of thoughtful creation.
And our impact doesn’t stop there. We proudly donate 5% of profits to support organizations that protect animals and our environment—because our mission isn’t just about feeding dogs better, it’s about leaving a lighter pawprint behind.
